Why should painters have all the fun with colors? You can color your world with a thread and needle too! Students must bring materials.
Stranded threads and two basic embroidery stitches (satin stitch and long and short stitch) come together to form the foundation of basic thread painting. Subtle shading and and depth can be achieved with a carefully planned stitch. In this class series, students will create a beautiful landscape motif using thread. With a focus on satin stitches, additional stitches will also be introduced to achieve a variety of textures. Classes are held on Wednesdays, June 4-28 at 4:00 p.m.
