Celebrate the natural cycles of our world with a monthly embroidery sampler. Each month a new pattern and stitch techniques will be introduced to sample. Students are encouraged to attend a variety of classes throughout the year but are not required to attend all sessions.

January: Let’s start at the beginning! During January’s sampler class, students will receive the base pattern outlining 2025. The commemorate the days growing longer starting in January, a sunrise illustration will be provided for this month’s sessions on 01/22/2025 and 01/29/2025.

• Class Duration: 2 hours,
• Age Requirements: Adult, Teen
• Recommended Prerequisite: Hand Sewing – Embroidery Level 1 and Embroidery Level 2
• Required Skills: Ability to cut with scissors. Can complete a running stitch, back stitch, and chain stitch.
   

Required Materials: The following materials are needed to complete the project: 

• 12 X 12 square canvas cotton or linen, medium weight
• Embroidery Needle - (#7 recommended)
• Embroidery floss or #8 Pearle Cotton

  • Purple

*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.
