If you're a beginner knitter looking to challenge yourself, this class is a great next step.
You're already comfortable with the knit stitch and stockinette, and now you're ready to build on those skills. In this class, you'll learn how to do a simple long tail cast on, as well as how to work increases and decreases. Combined with what you already know, these new techniques will help you take your knitting to the next level. It’s the perfect way to grow your confidence and expand your ability.

Class Duration: 2.5 Hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult

Recommended Prerequisite: Knitting Level 1 and 2
- Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Yarn, Medium (#4) weight cotton yarn
- Bernat Handicrafter Twists (43g / 1.5 oz, 62 meters / 68 yards) used in sample. Or you may practice this in class with whatever you have on hand.
- Needles
- US 7 (4.5 mm) Knitters Pride Dreamz Interchangeable Needles used in sample.
- (Optional) if you have not used interchangeable before bring knitting needles size 7.
- Tapestry needle
- Crochet hook (Optional)
Note: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.

| Confident Beginner | Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. |
| Intermediate | Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. |
| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |
