Learn how to implement core VR concepts like locomotion, hand presence, and player immersion into an interactive VR experience while creating an Escape Room VR Game.
Part 1 - June 24, 1 - 2:30 pm: Set up the development environment with the XR Interaction Toolkit Unity package. Program the player game object's locomotion system to snap-rotate and teleport. To teleport, we will program the controllers' XR Ray Interactors component and create a reticle to indicate the teleportation destination.
Part 2 - June 25, 1 - 2:30 pm: Create a control panel with UI game objects and program the player game object to interact with the UI game objects to escape the room. We will add another XR Ray Interactor and program it to interact with the UI game object.
Part 3 - June 26, 1 - 2:30 pm: Add an XR Direct Interactor to enable interactions with grabbable game objects in the scene. Use a Socket Interactor game object to snap the keys to the door's control panel. Program the door's control panel to open the door when the keys are inserted.
