StoryWalk is a way to enjoy the benefits of reading and the outdoors at the same time! Exercise your body and mind as you have fun reading. Recommended for families with children ages 3 to 12.
The StoryWalk® will be on display at Windermere. As participants stroll the trail they will be directed toward the next page in the story. There is no registration for this event, and all are welcome between the hours of 10:30am-1:00pm, weather permitting.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Located in a small "Florida Cracker" style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
