About the Author
José Pablo Iriarte is a Cuban American writer and teacher who lives in Central Florida. Their fiction can be found in literary magazines and has been reprinted in numerous Year's Best anthologies. Their debut middle grade novel, Benny Ramírez and the Nearly Departed, was a 2024 Nebula Award nominee. Their follow-up novel, AJ Torres and the Treasure of Captain Grayshark, was published this past summer.
