Use beginner Tunisian crochet techniques to complete this cozy hat!

This class is a series, held on Wednesdays, September 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th at 10:00 am - 11:30 am. 

  • Class Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes each session
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet In the Round, and a Beginner Tunisian Crochet class 
  • Required Skills: Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students will need the following materials to complete the project: 

  • Pattern: Mesa Hat - Free Beginner Tunisian Crochet Hat Pattern - TL Yarn Crafts
  • Yarns: About 250 yards of Medium Size 4 yarn in a variegated color and a solid contrast color
  • Hooks: 4.0mm crochet hook, 6.5mm Tunisian Crochet hook with 16" cord
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Optional: Pom Pom Maker, premade Pom Pom, or stiff cardboard to make Pom Pom form 

Note: Crochet skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to crochet? Check out Let's Crochet Level 1.

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
