Learn essential techniques to transform your recorded tracks into polished tracks ready for mixing. Dive into Pro Tools discover how to clean up your sessions and consolidate tracks.

Pro Tools Level 2 is a follow-up to Pro Tools Level 1, diving deeper into the software's editing and mixing capabilities. The class begins with a review of basic editing functions and an introduction to more advanced techniques. It then covers the use of inserts, busses, and aux tracks for processing audio signals. The class uses real-world examples from Melrose in the Mix sessions to demonstrate these concepts in action, allowing students to see the techniques being applied to a professional project. By the end of the class, students will have a stronger understanding of Pro Tools' editing and mixing capabilities and be able to apply these skills to their own projects.

Required Skills: Ability to navigate within Pro Tools and use basic tools, such as the Zoom tool. Understanding of the physics of sound and digital audio theory, including sample rate and bit depth.

Recommended Prerequisites: Pro Tools Level 1 and Fundamentals of Sound for Audio Engineering
