Technology ClassroomBuild and program machines with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essentials. Go on a Great Adventure as we explore STEAM concepts and creative problem solving. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.
Students will:
- Follow instructions to build project
- Program the components
- Bugfix, change, and improve the program
Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency
* For children’s safety and comfort, a responsible adult/caregiver must accompany children age 10 and under while using the library. Caregivers may join the class if space allows; otherwise, they must wait within view of the classroom door.

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
