Feeling Fall Vibes! Create these quick and easy stuffed fabric pumpkins, perfect for Autumn season decor.
Use beginner sewing skills to make this cute seasonal decoration!
Fabric Materials will be provided for this class, but if you would like to bring your own fabric you can bring:
Scrap fabric or fat quarters of cotton broadcloth/quilting cotton, about half a yard's worth in total.
*Fabric can be matching, contrasting or a mix. Fabric is cut into 6 different oval shapes for this project, approx 6" x 3".
**for Pumpkin Stalk you are welcome to bring a piece of cinnamon stick or use felt that we will provide in class**
Note: Sewing skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to sewing? Check out Introduction to the Sewing Machine.
Level | Description |
Beginner | Someone has used a sewing machine before but may need aid on threading the machine and may need additional practice keeping an even seam allowance. |
Confident Beginner | Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects. |
Intermediate | Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet. |
Advanced | Someone who is comfortable with working and threading both sewing machines and sergers, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of both woven and knit fabric types and interfacing, and has experience using a wide variety of tools, notions, and presser feet. |

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.
Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
