LEGO® Education Spike™ Prime: Beach Buggy
Summer at Your Library

Alafaya Branch
Alafaya - Computer LabBuild, program and iterate on various vehicle designs with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.
Students will:
- Follow instructions to build a vehicle
- Program the vehicle
- Bugfix and test vehicle and code
Required Skills: 1st-grade reading and writing level, keyboard and mouse proficiency
*For the safety and comfort of children, a responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger while they are using the Library. If there is available space, you are welcome to join your child in class. If not, or you would rather not join class, you must wait within view of classroom door.

Alafaya Branch
LYNX Bus Link 104 East Colonial
Alafaya Branch has a long history of providing library services to the East Orange County community. The branch originally opened in 1965 as the Azalea Park branch, situated on Lake Barton Road. From the 1970s through the 1990s the branch provided library services from shopping center locations. Ground was broken in January 1999 for a new branch, designed to be the prototype branch for future Orange County Library System branches. Opened on February 1, 2000, Alafaya Branch was funded by a Florida Library Construction Grant.
