Embroidery - Corner Bookmark

Technology ClassroomCelebrate National Library Week early by making a felt corner bookmark for your library books!
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Embroidery Level 1 & 2
Note: Beginning embroidery skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to embroidery? Check out the Fiber Arts Lib Guide.
Suggested Materials: Students are encouraged to have the following materials to complete the project*:
- Craft Felt - 1 or 2 sheets
- Chenille embroidery Needle
- Embroidery Floss (various floral colors)
- Sewing pins or clips
- Parchment, Tissue, or Freezer paper
- Scissors
Note: Materials are available from a limited selection. Students are encouraged to bring their own materials in the event that the project is not completed within the class time.

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
