Tissue Paper Flowers

Technology ClassroomTissue paper flowers are fun to make and great for decorating. Learn how to make colorful flowers to top gifts or decorate a room. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.
Students will:
- Learn paper folding terminology
- Fold tissue paper flowers
- Decorate the flowers with crayons and markers
- Use scissors to cut the flower shapes.
Required Skills:
- Fine motor control for actions such as writing and handling yarn or fabric
- Hand-eye coordination for actions such as stitching or weaving
- Basic cutting and threading skills
*For their safety, children 10 and under must have a caregiver in the Library. You’re welcome to join your child in class if space allows, or wait just outside where you can see the classroom door.
Southwest Branch
Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
