Create colorful tissue paper flowers to top gifts or decorate a room. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.

Students will:  

  • Accordion fold
  • Decorate tissue paper

Required Skills:  

  • Fine motor control for actions such as folding and cutting with scissors
  • Hand-eye coordination for actions such as stitching or weaving 

*For their safety, children 10 and under must have a caregiver in the Library. You’re welcome to join your child in class if space allows, or wait just outside where you can see the classroom door.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
