Design a personalized sign for your room! Learn how to properly use the mouse to drag and drop pictures and the keyboard to type in Microsoft Word. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.

Students will: 

  • Practice using the mouse and keyboard 
  • Change the colors of letters and words 
  • Move pictures around to decorate your sign 

Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency.  
 
* For children’s safety and comfort, a responsible adult/caregiver must accompany children age 10 and under while using the library. Caregivers may join the class if space allows; otherwise, they must wait within view of the classroom door.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
