This ten-part class series teaches the essential skills to develop a third-person exploration game in Unity.

Unity Fundamentals (Monday, June 1, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Create a development environment and learn the Unity interface, how to manipulate and edit game objects, and the basic workflow of creating video games with Unity.
Unity: Programming Basics (Tuesday, June 2, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
During this class, we will declare, initialize, and execute custom variables and functions to learn how to Get and Set values to trigger custom behaviors.
Unity: Programming Character Locomotion (Wednesday, June 3, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Program the player game object to move, and jump while learning the basics of programming custom behaviors for your game objects with C Sharp (C#) in Unity.
Unity: Programming Input Actions (Thursday, April 9, June 4, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Program Actions to collect values from input devices and trigger the Player game object's behaviors with an Input Action Asset in Unity.
Unity: Programming a Third-Person Camera (Friday, June 5, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Create a third-person camera system with a Cinemachine camera and program the player's rotation.
Unity: Controlling Animations (Monday, June 8, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Animate the Player game object and learn to use Unity's Animation System.
Unity: Create a UI System (Tuesday, June 9, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Learn how to use Unity's UI creation tools and game objects to create a User Interface for your game.
Unity: Creating an Environment (Wednesday, June 10, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Learn to use Unity's Terrain and Lighting Tools while creating a virtual environment for your game.
Unity: Audio Basics (Thursday, June 11, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Learn how to implement audio with Audio Source, Listener, and Mixers in Unity.
Unity: Triggering Events (Friday, June 1, 1 - 2:30 p.m.)
Learn how to set up colliders as triggers and create interactions among objects in your game.

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
