Hiawassee - Craft Studio

Build and program machines with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essentials. Go on a Great Adventure as we explore STEAM concepts and creative problem solving. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.

    Students will:

    • Follow instructions to build project
    • Program the components
    • Bugfix, change, and improve the program

    Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency

    *For the safety and comfort of children, a responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger while they are using the Library. If there is available space, you are welcome to join your child in class. If not, or you would rather not join class, you must wait within view of classroom door.

    About the branch

    LYNX Bus Link 37 Pine Hills / Florida Mall

    Hiawassee Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1962 and was first known as the Pine Hills Library. In later moves the branch became the West Colonial branch and in March 2000, Hiawassee. In early 2010, the Hiawassee Branch moved to a new home near the corner of Hiawassee Road and West Colonial Drive in the Highland Lakes shopping plaza.
