Embroider: How to Finish a Hoop

Technology ClassroomFinish and display your embroidery project. Learn how to use the whip stitch to create a simple cover for the back of your hoop. Now you're ready to show off your work!
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Embroider Levels 1 & 2
- Required Skills: Ability to hoop fabric, thread a needle, execute simple embroidery stitches.
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- 1 Finished Embroidery Project - Required
- Hand Embroidery Hoop - Required
- 1 piece of Craft Felt - your choice of color, neutral recommended
- Cotton Embroidery Floss (match or contrast felt)

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
