The Gift Pouch is a quickly folded pouch that can be used to hold gifts. Customize using your own scrapbook paper and ribbon combinations.

Required Materials

The following materials are required to complete the project:

  • Square piece of plain paper for practice
  • Square scrapbook paper or origami paper at least 8"x8", up to 12"x12" (thick gift wrap paper, map paper or light cardstock weight
  • scrap amount of 1/4" ribbon (substitute with pearl cotton thread, worsted weight yarn, or twine) to tie close the pouch
  • Optional:  bonefolder for folding
  • Class Duration: 1 hour
  • Age Requirements: 18+
  • Recommended Prerequisite: None
  • Required Skills: Someone who grasps basic paper-folding techniques.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
