Need an extra pocket to carry all your DND dice? Or maybe a nice on the go jewelry holder? Learn how to use the buttonhole presser foot and practice sewing circles while we create a handy trinket bag!

This class can be completed in one session. However, there will be an open sewing lab the next week for those who need more guided project time.

  • Class Duration: 2 Hours
  • Age Requirements: Adult, 18 and up.
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to Sewing Machine
  • Required Skills:Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.

Optional Materials: Students may bring the following materials to complete the project: 

    • Pattern inspired by: https://www.applegreencottage.com/dice-bag-pattern/
    • 2 fat quarters of cotton fabric
    • fusible fleece
    • cord/drawstring

Note: Machine sewing skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to sewing? Check out Introduction to the Sewing Machine.

The Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
