Love the idea of crochet - don't know where to start? Join this introductory series, learn the basics and create a modern scarf! **Students must bring own tools & yarn after first class**
This is a 4-part series running Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21, & 28, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Get started with the basics, and plenty of practice! We'll learn how to create a Foundation Chain, the Single Crochet, Double Crochet & Half Double Crochet stitches, as well as bind-off and finishing techniques. Your final project will be beautiful stitch sampler scarf which covers several beginner techniques preparing you for more advanced skills.
**Practice yarn and Hook will be provided during the 1st class**

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.
Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
