Join makeup artist Danielle Sturdivent of Deserving Beauty in this virtual introduction to makeup class. Gain knowledge, skills and empowerment through makeup education! Recommended for ages 13-18.

Classes will occur every Tuesday at 2 p.m. starting June 24. Each class is one hour long and will take place over Zoom. Please see the full class schedule below.

June 24 – Makeup 101: The Basics for a Flawless Face
New to makeup? This class is the perfect starting point! Danielle will break down the basics of skincare prep, foundation matching and essential tools so you can create a natural, everyday look. Learn how to enhance your features while keeping things simple and beginner-friendly.

July 1 – Eye Makeup Made Easy: Shadow, Liner & Mascara Tips
Mastering eye makeup doesn’t have to be tricky. In this class, Danielle will go over easy eyeshadow application, eyeliner techniques for different eye shapes and how to get the perfect mascara application—without clumps. Whether you want a soft, natural look or a little glam, this class has you covered.

July 8 – Skincare 101: Prepping Your Skin for Makeup
Great makeup starts with great skin. This class will focus on the basics of skincare, including how to cleanse, moisturize and protect your skin based on your skin type. Danielle will also cover how to prep your skin for makeup so your look stays fresh and flawless all day.

July 15 – The Perfect Finish: Blush, Bronzer & Lip Looks
Bring your whole look together with the right finishing touches. This class covers where and how to apply blush and bronzer for a naturally sculpted effect. Danielle will also discuss different lip colors, how to find your perfect shade and tips for long-lasting wear. 

Danielle Sturdivent is a licensed esthetician and the owner of Deserving Beauty where she offers beauty treatments and consultation services. With over eight years of experience in the beauty industry, Danielle’s journey began in makeup, where she discovered her passion for enhancing confidence through artistry and education.

Since becoming an esthetician, her goal has always been to create a fun, stress-free, and welcoming environment while providing long-lasting, confidence-boosting services that can make life easier.

Beyond working with clients, Danielle has spent years educating others about beauty, empowering individuals to embrace their features and develop their skills. Now, as she brings her expertise to the library, she is excited to teach beginner-friendly makeup techniques that make beauty accessible and enjoyable for all.
