Technology ClassroomAdd to your stitch repertoire. Learn how to create French knots, chain stitches and satin stitches, while practicing the running and back stitches.
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Embroider Level 1
- Required Skills: Ability to hoop fabric, thread a needle, execute running and back stitches.
Suggested Materials: Students can choose to bring the following materials to complete the project:
- 6 inch (15 cm) or 7 inch (18 cm) Hand Embroidery Hoop
- Size 3 Embroidery Needle
- 10x10 inch (25 cm) to 12x12 inch (30 cm) light colored Cotton Fabric
- Cotton Embroidery Floss (up to 3 colors)
- Scissors

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
