• Class Duration: 2 hours
• Age Requirements: Ages 13–Adult with a completed Sewing Lab Waiver. Ages 13-17 must have a parent or guardian present to complete the Sewing Lab Waiver.
• Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills
• Required Skills: None
• Materials Fee: None
• Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees).

Note: Fabric is provided for your first class from a limited selection. If you choose to attend this class more than once, please reference the materials list below and bring fabric for your class.

Skill Level Description:
Beginner
Someone has used a sewing machine before but may need aid on threading the machine and may need additional practice keeping an even seam allowance.
Confident Beginner
Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects.
Intermediate
Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.
Advanced
Someone who is comfortable with working and threading both sewing machines and sergers, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of both woven and knit fabric types and interfacing, and has experience using a wide variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.
