Unlock the mystery of sewing patterns in this beginner-friendly class designed to build your confidence and skills. Learn how to read and interpret pattern instructions, understand pattern piece layouts, and decode common symbols and markings. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to navigate sewing patterns with ease and start your projects with clarity and precision.

Level Description
Beginner Someone has used a sewing machine before but may need aid on threading the machine and may need additional practice keeping an even seam allowance.
Confident Beginner Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects.
Intermediate Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.
Advanced Someone who is comfortable with working and threading both sewing machines and sergers, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of both woven and knit fabric types and interfacing, and has experience using a wide variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.
