Jamestowne: Finding Your Roots in America’s First Colony

Join Anne Moore, Governor of the Jamestowne Society Chapter of Central Florida, as she explores Jamestown's settlers, their survival, and the records that can help uncover early colonial ancestors.

Anne Moore is a researcher, writer, and educator with more than 21 years of public-school teaching experience in Florida, Kentucky, and Virginia. She has published articles on Colonial Virginia and developed numerous presentations on colonial history, Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Atlantic Coast migration.

Anne holds a master's degree in Psychology and Organization Development from The Catholic University of America and a bachelor's degree in French, History, Psychology, and Education from Western Kentucky University. She has pursued advanced studies at the University of Louisville, the College of William and Mary, Virginia Tech, and McGill University, and studied abroad at the University of Montpellier in France.

An active genealogical researcher and volunteer, Anne has helped individuals discover their family histories while sharing her passion for America's colonial past through writing, research, educational programs, and historical tours.
