Virtual Room - SouthwestLevel up your crocheting. Learn how to create more open fabric with new stitches. Techniques include chaining up rows, as well as double and half double crochet stitches.
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet Level 1
- Required Skills: Able to create a slip knot and chain stitches, familiar with single crochet stitch
Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:
- Yarn: Size 4-5mm/bulky weight yarn preferably in pastel/light colors to better see stitches
- Hook: Size 5-6mm, one size up from yarn
- Scissors
- Optional stitch markers or paper clips
- Handout - will be sent the week of class
*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.
This is an online class hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access Zoom before the event.
A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. Please note that Zoom allows you to share your video and audio with the group. If you choose to enable these settings, you are consenting to appear on audio and video. This event is not being recorded and we ask that out of courtesy to the other participants, please refrain from screen captures, photography or resharing information about the participants or the discussion outside of this event.
