Crochet Squares - Alpine Stitch

Chickasaw - LabBuild your crochet skills block by block. The alpine stitch is a texture-rich stitch using repeating pairs of double and front post double crochet stitches separated by rows/rounds of single crochet.
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet Granny Squares
- Required Skills: Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Yarn: Size 4/medium weight yarn
- Hook: Size H-8 (5 mm)

Chickasaw Branch

Chickasaw Branch is the newest addition to Orange County Library System. It is located in east Orange County on North Chickasaw Trail near the corner of Valencia College Lane. The branch is minutes away from several educational institutions (including elementary and middle schools and Valencia College) making it a popular spot for students of all ages. This library boasts several unique features including a pebble chime, modern architectural awnings and two outdoor decks where the community can relax and enjoy our great Florida weather. Opened on July 18, 2015, Chickasaw Branch was funded by a Florida Library Construction Grant.
