Video Game Design: Role-Playing Games

Technology ClassroomDesign your own role-playing video game. Use Tynker to create a classic top-down role-playing game with enemies to fight and treasure to find. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.
Students will:
- Design a level
- Add enemies, health pickups, and awards
- Write code to create a win condition
Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency.
*For their safety, children 10 and under must have a caregiver in the Library. You’re welcome to join your child in class if space allows, or wait just outside where you can see the classroom door.

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
