Learn safety tips and good practices when using the Internet. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.

Students will: 

  • Learn to tell fact from fiction 
  • Be mindful of what we share and secure our sensitive information 
  • Learn to deal with cyber bullies 

Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency.  
 
* For children’s safety and comfort, a responsible adult/caregiver must accompany children age 10 and under while using the Library. Caregivers may join the class if space allows; otherwise, they must wait within view of the classroom door.

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, North Orange Branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
