Join the Southwest Library for a casual walk outdoors at Shadow Bay Park followed by discussion of Playground by Richard Powers. Registration required. 18+

Join the Southwest Library for a casual walk outdoors at Shadow Bay Park followed by discussion of the novel Playground by Richard Powers. French Polynesia has been chosen for humanity’s next adventure: a plan to send floating, autonomous cities out onto the open sea, but first, the island’s residents must vote to greenlight the project or turn the seasteaders away.

Please meet at 10:00 AM at the Shadow Bay Park located at 5100 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando 32819. Do not come to the library.  Park and gather near the playground (next to the exercise equipment area).

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Exercise your mind and body! 

Registration required. Intended for ages 18+

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
