Note: Basic Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Knit Level 1. Skills will include working with double pointed needles, increases, decreases, and working in the round.
We're celebrating fiber arts on a galactic scale! Our community-created art installation Yarnfiti: Stitched Together is back and bigger than ever, with events offered throughout the Orange County Library Universe to bring the fiber arts community together on a collaborative art project. Knitters, crocheters, hand sewists, machine sewists, embroiderers, and macramé artists/community members join forces to craft individual pieces that will be displayed together into a collective masterpiece. Each creation represents the unique contributions of community members and reflects their stories, experiences, and connections. The project fosters collaboration and unity as participants share their skills and ideas.
This year's theme is Space. The class project is Stars.
Required Materials:
Class Duration: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Age Requirements: Adults
Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Knit Increases and Decreases, Knit in the Round
Recommended Skills: Knit, purl, knit in the round, reading charts

The Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through the Orange County Library System. It is the westernmost branch in Orange County. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
