Family Fiber Arts Aliens!

Yarnfiti Stitched Together Space Series

Make a cute little alien with yarn and pipe cleaners! Once finished, you can submit your project for display in this year's Yarnfiti Community Project.

Yarnfiti is an annual community-created art installation that started in 2017 to bring the fiber arts community together on a collaborative art project.  Knitters, crocheters, hand sewists, machine sewists, embroiderers, and macramé artists/community members join forces to craft individual pieces that will be displayed together into a collective masterpiece. Each creation represents the unique contributions of community members and reflects their stories, experiences, and connections.  The project fosters collaboration and unity as participants share their skills and ideas.  This year's theme is Space.

Materials will be provided for this class. 

• Class Duration: 1 hour
• Age Requirements: Families, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult
• Required Skills: Somewhat familiar with hand sewing and tying knots.
• Materials Fee: None
• Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
