*Note: This class will be taught in Spanish. 

Esta clase es una serie, que se llevará a cabo los  lunes, 10 & 17 de febrero de 10:30 A.M. - 12:30 

  • Duración de la clase: 2 horas, 2-Partes
  • Edad Requerida: Adulto, 18 o más.
  • Prerrequisito Recomendado: Introducción a la máquina de Coser
  • Destrezas Requeridas: Alguien que pueda coser costuras rectas y curvas manteniendo un margen de costura constante, que pueda enhebrar una máquina estándar y enrollar una bobina, que tenga un conocimiento básico de los diferentes tipos de telas y que haya completado varios proyectos.

Materiales Requeridos: Los estudiantes deben traer los siguientes materiales para realizar el proyecto: 

    • Tela Recomendada: "Quilting Cottono 100% algodón
    • 3 "Fat Quarters" o  3/4 yarda de tela 
    • 1 a 1 1/2  yardas de elástico de 1/4 de pulgada de ancho
    • Hilo 100% algodón

Nivel Descripción
Principiante Alguien que ha usado una máquina de coser antes, pero puede necesitar ayuda para enhebrar la máquina y puede necesitar práctica adicional para mantener un margen de costura uniforme.

Intermedio Alguien que se sienta cómodo trabajando y enhebrando máquinas de coser, cosiendo patrones con marcas y anotaciones, que comprenda los tipos de telas y las entretelas, y que tenga experiencia con el uso de una variedad de herramientas, nociones y prensatelas.
Avanzado Alguien que se sienta cómodo trabajando y enhebrando tanto máquinas de coser como remalladoras, cosiendo patrones con marcas y anotaciones, tenga una comprensión de los tipos de telas tejidas y de punto y las entretelas, y tenga experiencia en el uso de una amplia variedad de herramientas, nociones y prensatelas.

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, North Orange Branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
