This two-part series will teach students the batik method of creating colored designs on cloth. Please register for both sessions. Recommended for ages 6-12.

Students will be introduced to artist Anna Blatman and challenged to create batik art in her style. During Session 1 (March 3, 1 p.m.), students will use glue to create their design on cloth. During Session 2 (March 10, 1 p.m.), students will paint their works of art.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
