Earn community service by collaborating with your peers to test out new teen programs, brainstorm new teen services, and more! Recommended for students in grades 9-12.
High schoolers will earn one hour of community service by participating in a virtual board meeting where they'll have the opportunity to share their input regarding what teens want and need from the library, test out new teen programs and services, and work on projects that will benefit the library and their peers in the community!
This event occurs online through Zoom. A device with access to the internet and speakers or headsets is required. An email will be sent with information on how to join.
Due to the nature of the Advisory Board, it is essential that participants play an active role in our monthly meetings by taking on team roles, sharing ideas, interacting with fellow board members, and collaborating to meet the board’s goals. Participants who register for the event should be prepared to use Zoom tools including cameras, microphones, and chats to communicate and work towards board objectives.
