South Trail - Meeting Room 2Earn community service hours by becoming involved in South Trail's teen literary and creative arts magazine. Registration required. Ages 13-18.
The Orange Zest is a Teen Volunteering program where students can submit short stories, poetry, artwork, photography, comics, and reviews to a community magazine for volunteer service hours. Submissions are required to earn hours. Guidelines and restrictions will be emailed to registrants.
- You will receive 1 community service hour per entry in a single category and can pick up to 3 categories per month to submit to.
- A monthly theme will be chosen at each meeting for the following month.
Participant Requirements:
- Ages 13-18
- Have an OCLS Library Card
- Submit entries to magazine
- Register and attend monthly meetings
- Bring required materials to have the instructor sign-off on community service time

South Trail Branch is located in the Orange Blossom Center, a shopping center next to numerous multi-family housing units. It is a welcoming and colorful library full of sunshine and a popular spot for children and families.
South Trail Branch began in 1965 as the Fort Gatlin Branch at 105 Gatlin Avenue and moved to the corner of Holden Avenue and South Orange Blossom Trail in 1981. The move across the street to the current site in the Orange Blossom Center took place in 1996.
