Unlock the secrets of electronic music creation in our exhilarating summer workshop! Dive into the world of soldering and MIDI technology as you craft your own MIDI Fighter, a dynamic musical controller tailored to your style. Geared towards teens and adults, this immersive experience will guide you through soldering basics and MIDI mapping. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a curious beginner, this summer adventure promises to be an unforgettable journey into the realm of electronic sound.

Class Duration: 2 hours
Age Requirements: 14+.  Please note that due to the materials and assembly work needed for this project, no participants under the age of 14 are permitted in this workshop.
Recommended Prerequisite: none
Required Skills: Basic computer skills, soldering skills
Materials Fee: $15
Out of District Fee: $25 (includes class and materials fees)

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
