Technology ClassroomLet's macra-make a leaf for our Enchanted Forest! Once finished, you can submit your project for display in this year's Yarnfiti Community Project.
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: None
- Required Skills: Ability to measure with a ruler and cut with scissors, experience tying basic knots (like shoelaces)
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:
- At least 25 yards (or more!) of size 4 craft rope or cord (such as Bonnie Craft Cord, green or leaf color recommended)
*If you do not have the suggested materials, the library has a limited supply available.

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
