Sewing - Zippered Satchel (6-Part)

Fiber Arts Studio - Second FloorLearn to make zippered satchel perfect for tablets, shopping and a day out with friends. Make this custom bag for those summer outings. Students are required to bring fabric, materials and notions.
- Class Duration: 2 Hours each session, 6 Sessions
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to the Sewing Machine
- Required Skills: Students must be able to proficiently use a standard sewing machine, read patterns and cut fabric.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $40
Students are required to bring materials:
- Outer Fabric 30"x13" Woven Cotton
- Outer Fabric 36"x13" Woven Cotton
- 12"x6" Fusible Fleece
- 30"x13" Foam Stabilizer
- 16" Zipper
- 66" of 1" Wide Webbing
- 96" of 1" wide Bias Binding

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
