Sew Your Own Wardrobe Bootcamp - Skirts (12-Part)

Fiber Arts Studio - Second FloorGet started creating your own wardrobe. Learn to make an A-Line Skirt, Tailored Skirt and Flared Skirt. Select the pattern size when registering. Students are required to bring fabric.
In this class learn the basics of sewing an A-Line Skirt, Classic Tailored Skirt and Classic Flared Skirt featured in Sew Your Own Wardrobe by Alison Smith.
- Class Duration: 12 parts, 2 hours each part
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to the Sewing Machine, Patterns and Fabric, Zippered Organizer, and Buttonholes and Buttons
- Required Skills: Students must be able to proficiently use a standard sewing machine, read patterns and cut fabric.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $50
Students are required to bring materials
First project requires:

2 1/2 yards of 44" wide fabric (cotton)
*Note: For a longer skirt or for a one directional pattern bring 3-4 yds of fabric - 1 Yard of medium weight interfacing
- 9" regular nylon zipper
- 1 - 1" button
Supply list for for other projects will be provided in class.

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
