Sewing - T-shirt Quilt (4-Part)

Fiber Arts Studio - Second FloorDo you have T-shirts full of memories stacked in dresser drawers? If so, then a T-shirt quilt may be just what you need to make. Students are required to bring materials.
Students will learn rotary cutting, interfacing and piecing techniques in this 4-day series for beginner quilting.
- Class Duration: 4 parts, 2 Hours per part
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to the Sewing Machine
- Required Skills: Students should be able to use a standard sewing machine and read patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Students are required to bring materials:
- 2 yards of fabric for backing.
- 3 yards of Fusible Featherweight Interfacing (e.g. Pellon 911FF)
- Maximum of 6 t-shirts with logos measuring up to 12” X 12”. Note: All t-shirt logos will be cut down to 12 ½” squares during class.

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
