This class is a 2-part series held on Thursdays, October 1 & 8 at 3:00pm.
This workshop is the perfect next step for anyone ready to move beyond basic squares and rectangles into the world of shaped knitting, and make an exceptional handmade gift for friends, family, or your own coffee table.
Prerequisite: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class, including cast-on, knit, purl, knit in the round, and bind-off.
New to knitting? Check out Knit Level 1.

Class Duration: 2 parts, 2 hours per part

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

Pattern: We'll be following a pattern based on www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/leafy-washcloth
Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device.
The finished size depends on what weight of yarn you choose.
Finished measurements:- DK weight: 4½ x 7¼ inches
- Worsted weight: 5¼ x 7½ inches
- Aran weight: 6 x 8 inches
- Yarn: Recommended DK (size 3) or worsted weight (size 4) cotton yarn, approx 25 yds per leaf
- Needles: A set of double pointed needles 1 size smaller than the recommended needle size for your yarn

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.
Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
