Macramé Feather Earrings

Red Room - Second FloorCreate stylish macrame feather earrings with this beginner’s macrame project! Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.
Students will:
- Define macramé
- Learn what you can create with macramé
- Use macramé to create a pair of earrings
Required Skills:
- Fine motor control for actions such as writing and handling yarn or fabric
- Hand-eye coordination for actions such as stitching or weaving
- Basic cutting and threading skills
* For children’s safety and comfort, a responsible adult/caregiver must accompany children age 10 and under while using the library. Caregivers may join the class if space allows; otherwise, they must wait within view of the classroom door.

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
