Winter Garden - Technology LabAre you fan of fun accessories? A crochet hook, some cotton yarn, and knowledge of basic stitches are enough to create this simple triangle kerchief, a perfect addition to a summer wardrobe.
This class is a 2 part series, held on Wednesdays, June 3, & 10 at 11:30am.
The Crochet Granny Triangle Bandana is beginner friendly designed for those familiar with basic crochet stitches—chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. Optional add-on to learn: Picot Stitches to add a nice textured edge to your finished kerchief.
- Class Duration: 2 parts, 2 hours per part
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet Level 2, Crochet Granny Squares
- Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device. - Yarn: approx 50g of sport or 60g of DK weight cotton blend yarn
- Hook: 3.5 mm crochet hook (U.S. E) or size determined by your yarn

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.
Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
