Create your own comic using Comic Life. Write a story, change layouts, and add images to make your comic come alive! Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required.

Students will: 

  • Draft a story using a storyboard 
  • Decide on an art direction 
  • Create a cover page with lettering, balloons, and images 

Required Skills: 1st Grade Reading and Writing Level, Keyboard and Mouse Proficiency.  
 
*For their safety, children 10 and under must have a caregiver in the Library. You’re welcome to join your child in class if space allows, or wait just outside where you can see the classroom door.

About the branch

Located in a small “Florida Cracker” style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
