Create a fun crochet project. Learn how to single crochet two together to decrease while stitching a berry hanging basket.

This class is a series, held on Tuesdays, July 7-21 at 4-5:30PM.

  • Class Duration: 3 parts, 1.5 hour(s) per part
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet in the Round
  • Required Skills: Confident  Beginner
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project: 

  • Pattern: Yarnspiration Berry Best Hanging Basket
  • Yarn(s): Red 156 yards of size 4/medium weight yarn, Green 29 yards of size 4/medium weight yarn, Yellow/white 12 yards of size 4/medium weight yarn
  • Hook(s): US Size H-8 (5 mm)

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, North Orange Branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
