Make simple lace work a cinch! Create a lace bookmark using the triple crochet stitches. Triple crochet stitches are often found in scarf and shawl patterns for to create a drapey fabric.

  • Age Recommended: 6-12*
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet Level 2
  • Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)

Optional Materials: Materials are provided during class. Students may bring the following optional materials to complete the project:

  • Yarn: Size 5/bulky weight yarn
  • Hook: Size L-11 (8 mm)

      Note: *For the safety and comfort of children, a responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger while they are using the Library. If there is available space, you are welcome to join your child in class. If not, or you would rather not join class, you must wait within view of classroom door.

      Crochet skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to crochet? Check out Let's Crochet Level 1.

      Level Description
      Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
      Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
      Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
      Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

      About the branch

      LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

      North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, North Orange Branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
