This event is free and registration is required, as seating will be limited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. Author presentation begins at 7 p.m. with book signing to follow. Select book titles will be available for sale sponsored by the Friends of the Orange County Library System.

Trained as a medical doctor, Tess Gerritsen built a second career as an internationally bestselling novelist. Her 32 novels include The Summer Guests, The Spy Coast, Gravity, and The Surgeon. Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
