Class Duration: 2 hours each session
- Age Requirements: Adult, 18 and up.

Recommended Prerequisite: Intro to Sewing and any other project class
- Required Skills: Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet.
Materials: Students will need the following materials to complete the project:
- Pattern: DIY Phone Case and Wallet with Card Pockets
- about 1/4 yard of quilting cotton fabric (in contrasting colors/patterns if desired, check pattern link for examples)
- about 1/4 yard of fusible fleece interfacing or batting
- about 1 1/2 yards worth of scrap to create strap (2" x 40" - 50")
- about 1/4 yards of medium weight woven interfacing (I used Pellon SF101)
- 1 small magnetic snap
- 1 zipper, 5” long or longer
- 2 small d-rings (1/2” opening)
- 2 small swivel snap clips (mine have 3/4” opening, but who’s looking?)
- NOTE: The library can provide interfacing, hardware, and zipper, but color selection will be random

| Beginner | Someone has used a sewing machine before but may need aid on threading the machine and may need additional practice keeping an even seam allowance. |
| Confident Beginner | Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects. |
| Intermediate | Someone who is comfortable with working and threading sewing machines, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of fabric types and interfacing, and has experience with using a variety of tools, notions, and presser feet. |
| Advanced | Someone who is comfortable with working and threading both sewing machines and sergers, sewing patterns with markings and notations, has an understanding of both woven and knit fabric types and interfacing, and has experience using a wide variety of tools, notions, and presser feet. |

West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center is located in the historic city of Ocoee near the intersection of Silver Star and Clark Roads. The branch opened in August 2001 and was designed by Harvard, Jolly, Clees, Toppe Architecture Firm. West Oaks Branch provides exceptional library services to the nearly 50,000 residents of Ocoee and surrounding areas. In January 2015, the branch became the new Genealogy Center for Orange County, housing a collection of over 30,000 genealogy books. The Library is the official repository of the Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The construction of West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center was funded by the Library System and a Florida Library Construction Grant.
